Taming of the Shrew in Urdu at Shakespeare’s Globe

On 25 & 26 May 2012, for two performances only, Theatre Wallay - KASHF will perform The Taming of the Shrew in Urdu at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see a Shakespearean performance in Urdu and to support the company coming from Lahore to perform in London.

Theatre Wallay - KASHF presents a new production of The Taming of the Shrew, starring the Lahore screen and stage star Nadia Jamil as Katherine. Rich in colour and energy, the production explores the difficulties encountered by modern Pakistani women. With live singers and musicians, a thrilling bhangra jig rounds off this uplifting version of the first romcom.

This performance is part of the Globe to Globe festival, 37 plays in 37 languages, as part of the cultural Olympiad.

The Globe Theatre are offering the best available seats at only £10, just use the special online code: PCD10BEST or quote "£10 best available" when calling box office. Standing tickets are just £5.00.
